The Battle of Cocherel took place on 16 May 1364; its battlefield is located in Hardencourt-Cocherel. In the battle, the French army led by Du Guesclin fought against English and Navarrese troops.

Above Chambray, the Vallée Bance hiking trail runs along forests and cultivated fields and offers views over the Eure Valley.

Since 1 June 2020, Hardencourt-Cocherel has been home to a fish farm with ponds called L'étang des cerises.
L'étang des Cerises offers four fully fenced carp ponds for fishing. L'étang des Cerises also has a trout pond for a maximum of 20 anglers.
