Culture and History

The fortress of Château-sur-Epte bears witness to important periods in Norman history and dominates the Epte Valley from a feudal motte. Chateauneuf-sur-Epte is a medieval fortress being restored by a local association. Before opening permanently, Chateauneuf-sur-Epte was accessible to groups by reservation.
