Harcourt: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

While conservation work is ongoing, the interior of Château d'Harcourt is currently not open to the public. However, visitors can explore the grounds, including the castle courtyard and the path along the ramparts.

Culture

At the Église Saint-Ouen d'Harcourt, the choir is the oldest part; it was built in the 13th century. The church is classified as a Monument historique. Several concerts, as well as conferences and guided tours on the history of the site, take place at the Église Saint-Ouen d'Harcourt every year.

Nature

At the Domaine d'Harcourt, visitors can explore part of the forest designated as an Espace Naturel Sensible. The Arboretum d'Harcourt was established in 1802 as a project by Louis-Gervais Delamarre to plant, test and acclimatise trees from around the world. It is home to more than 500 tree species from around the world; some trees are more than 200 years old.

The Domaine d'Harcourt can be reached by bicycle via the “Évreux-Pont Authou” Voie verte. Bus route 214 between Honfleur and Évreux goes directly to the centre of Harcourt.

The Automnales d'Harcourt will celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2026. The event on 17 and 18 October includes botanical discoveries as well as other activities for plant and garden enthusiasts.

History

The Château du Neubourg is a historic site in the vicinity of Harcourt. The Abbaye Notre-Dame du Bec is a monastery in the vicinity of Harcourt, as is the Prieuré de la Sainte-Trinité. The wider region around Harcourt is also home to the Abbaye Notre-Dame-de-la-Couture, a historic site.
