In Thiéville, traces of industrial history meet striking church architecture and paths through the village. The former cotton mill was built by Aumont in 1843. It is located on the River Dives, was later converted into a light-metalworking facility, and is now a metal surface-treatment plant.

When planning a trip to Thiéville, some guests’ primary wish is to rent a holiday apartment.

Architecture

Saint Martin Church has a square bell tower divided into four levels by three projecting cornices. Its west façade features a pointed-arch portal above two lancet windows separated by a rose window. The bell tower also includes a corner tower housing a stairwell. Inside, there is an equestrian statue of Saint Martin in the style of the 17th century.

The Calvary cross of Thiéville was restored after storm damage in December 2023 and inaugurated on 12 October 2024.

Paths

The Manoir de la Commanderie is marked with station number 86. A circular route of approximately 15 kilometres runs around the Jardin de Manou; “Derrière chez moi” is suggested as a possible title. The third circular route leads into the village of Thiéville, where flat stones are given particular prominence.
