Culture
The Église Saint-Ouen is part of the history of the village. Its origins date back to the 8th century; the site contains settlement remains from the Merovingian and Carolingian periods. The choir was rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 13th century. Frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Saint Ouen were created on the choir walls in the 14th century. In 1914, the Église Saint-Ouen was listed as a Monument historique.
In 1980–1981, consolidation and restoration work enabled the choir to be reopened for the Fête de la Saint-Ouen and Heritage Days. The Fête de la Saint-Ouen is celebrated on the last Sunday in August. A downloadable discovery game booklet about the village is also available for Périers-sur-le-Dan.
