Ifs: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Ifs, the Parc Archéo was created on protected grounds where several Neolithic tombs had been discovered. It was inaugurated in September 2022.

In the information building of the Parc Archéo, a chronological frieze illustrates the development of the period. There is also a display case with Neolithic objects and an animated film about life during this era.

At the main entrance, the Parc Archéo has a tactile relief and Braille map, as well as tactile guiding strips on the main paths. An NFC chip at the north entrance provides access to a virtual tour. QR codes on the information panels lead to virtual content with images, texts, videos and audio guides.

History

The heritage trail of Ifs begins in front of the town hall and includes 12 panels with anecdotes, QR codes and an audio guide.

The city of Ifs's “Coups de théâtre” cultural season offers a theatre performance in the François Mitterrand Hall every fourth Friday from October to April.

The Ancien palais ducal de Caen palace is located in the immediate vicinity of Ifs. The Château de Caen castle, the Château de Fontaine castle, the Mémorial museum and the Jardin des plantes de Caen garden are also located near Ifs.
