Deux-Jumeaux: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Ancien prieuré in Deux-Jumeaux has been listed as a historic monument by decree since 2 July 1927. According to local legend, a wealthy landowner from the 6th century founded the abbey on the site of a Gallo-Roman settlement and named the village of Deux-Jumeaux after his twin children.
History
The former priory was rebuilt in the 11th century. It was transferred to Cerisy Abbey. The remaining buildings of the former priory were converted into a farm.
Culture
The church preserves a choir, an apse and a central tower from the 11th century. A chapel dating from the 13th to 14th century is located beside the choir. Inside the church are a terracotta gravestone and a Merovingian sarcophagus with two male figures.
The present-day Église Saint-Martin-de-Vertou dates from the 11th century. It preserves the northern transept arm, the main part of the choir and a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary on the south side. Today, the Église Saint-Martin-de-Vertou is no longer used as a church.

The Château de Beaumont-le-Richard, a château, is located in the immediate vicinity of Deux-Jumeaux. The Chapelle Saint-Louis, a church, is also located nearby. In the vicinity of Deux-Jumeaux are Omaha Beach, a beach, and the Église Saint-Nicolas de Villiers-sur-Port, a historic site.
