The Château de Creully underwent several architectural alterations from the 12th to the 19th century and features an exceptional Romanesque hall. In June 1944, the BBC set up a radio studio in the square tower of the Château de Creully, from which war correspondents reported on the Battle of Normandy.

Culture

The Musée de la radio de Creully displays civilian and military radios from the 20th century. One of the two exhibition areas is accessible only as part of a guided tour.

The outer wall of the Église Saint-Martin de Creully facing the road features maritime graffiti depicting large three-masted ships and rows of cannons. Inside, the church has an impressive, lavish Romanesque interior with numerous sculpted heads, gadroons and zigzag arches.

The park of the Château de Creully is open free of charge every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the season.

Nature

The easy 12 km hiking trail “Sur la trace des Barons” begins in Creully and takes 3 hours.

Market and Local Life

The weekly Marché de Creully-sur-Seulles market takes place every Wednesday morning in the town centre. Cheese, bread, cold meats and agricultural produce are available.
