During the contemporary art trail “Itinéraire, en quête d’artistes” on 30 and 31 March 2019, the Château d’Anctoville in Anctoville, a delegated municipality of Aurseulles, was one of the venues.
History
The building of the Maison d’Enfants Pierre Rayer was constructed from slate from 1881 onwards to house an orphanage for girls. The building later served as an agricultural domestic science school. After being restored following the war, the buildings resumed their function as an orphanage; today, they are a children’s home with a social focus.
