Nature
The ZNIEFF area “L'Ancre et ses affluents” includes Saint-Léger-Dubosq. The aquatic habitats of L'Ancre and its tributaries provide spawning grounds for sea trout (Salmo trutta trutta) and European brook lampreys (Lampetra fluviatilis). L'Ancre and its tributaries form a water network approximately 70 kilometres long.
The type 2 ZNIEFF area “Marais de la Dives et ses affluents” also includes Saint-Léger-Dubosq. In the wider surroundings of the village, the Marais de la Dives wetland comprises wet meadows, poplar stands and agricultural land crossed by numerous drainage channels.
The promontory on which the church and town hall of Saint-Léger-Dubosq stand offers panoramic views over the Dozulé valley. The hamlet of Carrouge is named as a notable viewpoint.
Trails
Saint-Léger-Dubosq is located on the Tour du Pays d'Auge hiking trail, which begins in Deauville. The “Bois de Dozulé” circular route follows the designated Chemin Philbec.
Architectural heritage
At the entrance to Saint-Léger-Dubosq stands a group of traditional farm buildings typical of the Pays d'Auge. It includes an old ripening room that was formerly used to make Camembert.
The church of Saint-Léger-Dubosq is built from flint, millstone and pink Saint-Jean bricks. Its bell tower is covered with slate.
