Saméon is a linear village and belongs to the Scarpe-Escaut Regional Nature Park.
The Church of Saint Martin has a rectangular floor plan with three naves and four bays. A ruling by the Parlement of Douai dated 29 May 1770 ordered the demolition of the old Church of Saint Martin in Saméon and its reconstruction at another location. The original centre of Saméon was located around the former church in the hamlet of Vieux-Condé.
In the area of Saméon, on the border with Rumegies, stands the Notre-Dame des Affligés chapel. It was built in 1839 using funds collected from the inhabitants of Saméon and Rumegies.
