The Musée de la machine parlante was inaugurated in Cousolre on 4 May 2013.
The Musée de la machine parlante houses more than 300 rare pieces, including barrel organs and musical toys.
During a guided tour with commentary at the Musée de la machine parlante, historical devices are demonstrated and explained.
The museum also explores Cousolre’s marble history through marble sculptures, marble objects, paintings and drawings.

Culture and History
The Chapelle du Bon Dieu de Pitié is located in front of the Église Saint-Martin. It was built in 1558 and is protected as a historic monument.
In the Avesnois, marble was historically quarried particularly around Cousolre.
The Église Saint-Martin preserves relics of Walbert and Bertille, the parents of Saint Aldegonde and Saint Waudru.
The Église Saint-Martin de Cousolre was built from bluestone between 1501 and 1521 and fortified around 1575.
Nature and Trails
The Circuit de la Hante is a moderately difficult 14 km hiking route lasting approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, starting at the car park of the Mairie in Cousolre.
In the communal forest of Cousolre, fauna and flora-related aspects were presented based on the diverse vegetation of the slope, in connection with the Natura 2000 site of the upper valleys of the Solre, Thure and Hante rivers and their wooded, bocage-covered slopes.
The 16 km Circuit « Au temps des marbriers » in Cousolre is designated as a nearby route in connection with horse-riding excursions.
Sightseeing
In April 2026, the Musée de la machine parlante had been closed for several months because funding and a permanent management structure were lacking for its administration and opening to the public.
Guided visits to the Église Saint-Martin are possible with Jean Heuclin by prior arrangement at least 24 hours in advance.
