Culture and history
The tabernacle depicts the Crucifixion of Christ on its door, with the Virgin Mary and Saint John beneath God the Father. It also depicts scenes from the Passion, including Christ's agony in the Garden of Gethsemane and Christ on the cross. The tabernacle is attributed to the workshop of the sculptor Jean Soustre, who was active in the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
The Église Saint Saturnin de Préchac is a Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Saturnin. It dates from 1342 and is associated with the establishment of the archpriesthood. Its neoclassical portal and bell tower were restored in 1727.
The Château d’Areyt is an 18th-century building above Préchac, reached via a tree-lined avenue. It is privately owned and cannot be visited. The botanist Ramond de Carbonnières visited the Château d’Areyt and stayed there from December 1792 to May 1793.
The historic site of Abbaye Saint-Savin-en-Lavedan is located in the immediate vicinity of Préchac. The Château Fort, a castle, is also located in the vicinity of Préchac. The historic site Maison paternelle de Bernadette and the Monastere de Marie-Immaculee, Reine du Rosaire monastery are also located nearby.

Cycling
The Circuit VTT n°6 – Vallée d’Argelès – Le lac des Gaves passes through Préchac. The route is a very easy, 5.2-kilometre circular route with a stated duration of 45 minutes and 20 metres of ascent. It is closed to the public because a short section at the end of the loop passes through private property.
