Ladevèze-Rivière: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Église Saint-André-de-Bagues is a Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. It offers remarkable views of the Pyrenean mountain range and the surrounding countryside. Its flat bell tower has two bells.
Culture and History
The Église Saint-Laurent-de-Theus was originally built between the 12th and 13th centuries. Together with Saint-André-de-Bagues, it is one of the only two Romanesque parish churches in the municipality of Ladevèze-Rivière. Following its restoration, it was reopened to the public in 2014.
The Lavoir de Saint-Laurent was built at the beginning of the 20th century, around 1908 to 1910. A polychrome limewood statue of the Virgin and Child dating from the early 18th century was added to the supplementary inventory of historic monuments in 1996.
Landscape
The area around Ladevèze-Rivière borders the Arros, a tributary of the Adour that flows through the Gers and Hautes-Pyrénées départements. The Croix Saint-André is one of the crosses found in the territory of Ladevèze-Rivière. Amid the trees and vegetation, the foundations of the load-bearing walls of the former Moulin d’Espagnet can still be seen.
The shorter mountain-biking version of the “Plaisance–Gambadour–Auriébat–Plaisance” loop is 38 kilometres long.
