In Millau, several specific sites offer insights into history and culture. The MUMIG presents collections on palaeontology, protohistory, Gallo-Roman antiquity, the Middle Ages and the modern era, leather processing and glove making, as well as the Belle Époque singer Emma Calvé. The town also preserves the remains of a medieval bridge over the Tarn.

Culture
The archaeological site of La Graufesenque is listed as a historic monument and is open to the general public. The MUMIG offers a wide range of self-guided and guided tours of the permanent exhibitions, archaeological remains and temporary exhibitions. Glove making is also part of Millau’s cultural identity: Maison Fabre offers tours of its glove factory in Millau. Visitors can observe the work, from cutting and sewing through to the final stages.
History
Millau’s heritage trail starts at the tourist office; each stop conveys one aspect of the town’s history. Each information panel indicates nearby stops and the walking times to reach them. A QR code leads to a map showing visitors’ position on the trail in real time.
The Hôtel de Tauriac–Tour des rois d’Aragon–Beffroi monument complex offers 360-degree views over Millau and its landscapes. A visit involves around 200 steps and 900 years of history.
Cycling
The Bikepark du Viaduc is a free, secured facility beneath the Millau Viaduct for downhill and enduro mountain biking (gravity), with varied trails for all levels, from beginners to experts. It is freely accessible year-round at no charge and has three starting areas.
The Trace Verte du Viaduc is a 16 km, safe and family-friendly cycle route. It follows the banks of the Tarn from Millau to Saint-Georges de Luzençon.
Nature
Outdoor activities in Millau include hiking, trail running, canoeing, rafting, paragliding and hang gliding.
