Water and Trails

At Lac du Val de Lenne, there is a 2,400-metre-long rural walking trail. Lac du Val de Lenne has a bathing area, and non-motorised water sports are also possible there.

The Base de loisirs du Lac du Val de Lenne rents out pedal boats, kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards and Big Paddles.

Several marked trails complement the landscape around the lake. The circular route “Les versants nord de la Baraque” takes two and a half hours, is 7.5 kilometres long and marked in violet; it offers views of the landscapes of western Aveyron. The hiking trail “Le chemin des lacs” follows the lake for part of the route and continues as far as Carcenac.

Culture and History

Vors in Baraqueville has an old village centre built entirely of stone. Vors is also home to a 15th-century church. Carcenac-Peyralès railway station is still in operation today.

The circular route “La fontaine romaine” is a one-hour, 5.5-kilometre-long trail marked in orange that leads to the Roman spring and passes through Vors. The Fontaine romaine de Vors is visible from the outside; the field in which it is located is private property and must not be entered.

The remains of the Fontaine romaine de Vors demonstrate the importance of the town as early as the 1st century AD; the site was used for around five centuries.
