Nature

The Étang Lallemand and the adjacent wetlands are located within the municipality of Les Voivres and are among the natural areas in the Vosges département designated as “Espaces naturels sensibles”.

Activities

At the Étang Lallemand, there is an approximately 350-metre-long discovery trail, Art et Nature, featuring educational works of art. Day fishing is possible at the Étang Lallemand. L'eaudici offers workshops, excursions and conferences. The site has a freely accessible, signposted Sentier des Pierres and picnic areas by the pond.

History

The Étang Lallemand was created in 1572 as a reservoir for the canton’s first forges. The Forge Quenot is a former ironworks; its ruins have been preserved along the Sentier des Pierres.

The Chapelle de Bonne-Espérance dates from the Second Empire and was renovated by volunteers. The Pont des Fées is a remnant of a Roman bridge.
