The Ornain River runs through Revigny-sur-Ornain along its 120-kilometre course through the southern part of the Meuse department. In the town and its surrounding area, the river, historical sites and paths through the countryside come together.

Culture and History
The Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul dates from the 15th to 16th century and was built in the Flamboyant Gothic style. It is classified as a historic monument. At the sundial, the gable of the former Maginot school has been preserved; the school was built in 1841 and demolished in 1975. The statue of André Maginot was destroyed in 1942 and recreated true to the original in 1950.
The Revigny-sur-Ornain National Cemetery was established in 1915 near a former field hospital to bury soldiers who succumbed to wounds sustained on the Champagne fronts or at Verdun. It contains 1,313 soldiers from the First World War; 72 of them rest in an ossuary.
The Renaissance-style Town Hall is one of the sights that can be discovered on the tourist trail through Revigny-sur-Ornain. Near the present-day Chapel of Notre-Dame de Grâce stood a hermitage built in 1630, which was destroyed at the end of the 19th century; the present chapel dates from 1898.
Several historic sites are located around Revigny-sur-Ornain: Sainte-Hoïlde Abbey, Monthiers-en-Argonne Abbey, Notre-Dame Cheminon Abbey in the Marne, and Notre-Dame des Jandeures Abbey.
Trails
The Rando du Tacot is a hiking trail along a former railway line between Haironville and Revigny-sur-Ornain. It can be travelled on foot, by bicycle, on horseback or with a horse-drawn vehicle.
The Revigny-sur-Ornain cycling route leads from the Ornain Valley into the Saulx Valley and follows the Marne–Rhine Canal on the return journey.
