History and Culture
The fortified castle of the Counts of Bar was built in the 12th century, rebuilt in the 14th century, and restored in the 15th and 16th centuries. The surviving remains of the fortified castle include a restored tower, the Porte des Champs, as well as parts of the moat and the encircling wall.
