Culture and History
The Église de Saint Amand Jartoudeix was built in the 13th century for the veneration of Saint Roch and was expanded and fortified in the 15th and 16th centuries. At the Menhir des Clides, the sun rises along the monument’s horizontal axis on 15 May. On the 1830 cadastral plan, the menhir is listed under the name “Pierre de l’ancienne justice”.
The Croix de la Demoiselle is a granite cross erected by the inhabitants of Le Nouhaud on the summit of the Puy in 1850 to celebrate the birth of an expected girl. The Circuit du Nouhaud passes by the milestone.
Regional Produce
