Culture

Nature
The site of the Clan gorges and cascades has been listed as a protected site since 29 September 1986. Trails
The Chemin des vignes consists of three circular routes of 3 km, 4 km and 5.5 km through the vineyards and wine-growing heritage of Allassac. The starting point is near La Jugie in Le Saillant.
The Sites et Cimes hiking trail is 20 km long and takes approximately 6 hours. It leads from Allassac towards Les Gardelles, climbs from 160 to 383 m and passes through wooded countryside.
The Cirque du Saillant hiking trail is 9 km long and takes approximately 3.5 hours. It starts in Le Saillant and leads to the Site de la Roche and the Cirque du Saillant.
The Via Ferrata is a vertical route at the Site de la Roche with metal steps, suspension bridges and a zip line. From there, views extend over the Vézère gorges, the Le Saillant dam and the Brive basin.
The Plateau des Gouttes hiking trail is 9 km long and takes approximately 3 hours. Starting from Allassac, it leads via Pont Salomon, with 0.8 km along the D25, through woodland with steep climbs and offers views over the Pays de Brive.

Allassac's historic slate quarries have been known since the 12th century and are once again being used for slate extraction.
