Geographical Setting

Trouillas is located in the hilly Aspres region between the Roussillon plain and the foothills of Canigou. Most of the agriculturally usable land is devoted to viticulture; fruit and olive cultivation are also practised.

In the 19th century, during the rise of viticulture, Trouillas was a major producer of Chasselas table grapes. A weekly market is held in Trouillas.

Clos Cérianne welcomes visitors all year round for a tour of the estate and a wine tasting. Carefully selected local products are served during the tastings. Clos Cérianne was founded in 2017 in the winery of the founder's great-grandfather, Charles.

Culture

The Church of Saint Assiscle is dedicated to Saint Assiscle and Saint Victoire. It has a single nave and an aligned apse. The church also contains an altarpiece created by Giralt in 1675.

History

The Château du Mas Deu is located in a former Templar commandery. Tours of the Château du Mas Deu are available by appointment outside the season. At the Château du Mas Deu, the Oliver family produces authentic wines while preserving tradition.
