Saint-Cyprien-Plage: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nature

The Jardin des plantes Les Capellans was restored by the town of Saint-Cyprien in 1998 in order to preserve the heritage dating back to the 19th century and create a botanical garden. The Jardin des plantes des Capellans is classified as a “Jardin Remarquable”, covers five hectares and is home to more than 500 botanical species. The garden includes a bamboo grove, a remarkable collection of old roses, some very rare Mediterranean woody plants and a pond with a Victoria water lily.

The six-hectare Parc de la Prade nature park lies between the village of Saint-Cyprien and the beach. It features shaded paths, playgrounds, a fitness trail and a city stadium. Three ponds in Parc de la Prade are home to a diverse range of wildlife.

Culture and History

The Port de Saint-Cyprien was built in 1967 as part of a major coastal development programme and has 1,885 berths, including 780 marina berths.

The collections of Saint-Cyprien comprise more than 700 works from the estate of François Desnoyer, as well as 19th- and 20th-century paintings added through acquisitions. They feature exhibitions throughout the year.

In summer, concerts, film screenings, guided tours and children's workshops take place in the Jardin des plantes des Capellans.

Water and Exercise

From Plage de l’Office de Tourisme, access leads to Europe's first water-biking route. Plage de l’Office de Tourisme also offers the opportunity to try hydrobiking.
