Nature and landscape

There are opportunities for hiking, horse riding and cross-country skiing in the direction of the lakes and peaks of the Carlit massif. El Punxó, a peak, is located in the vicinity of Porté-Puymorens. Puig Pedrós Nord, Pic de Font Negra and Serra de les Xemeneies are also located in the surrounding area, each being a peak.

Le Chemin des Ingénieurs offers an impressive panorama, passes a lake with an impressive dam and, on the return route, runs through a forest of mountain pines and birch trees. Le Sentier des Encantades passes through the shade alongside several streams and a pond, and is characterised by the diversity of its flowers and plants.

The Tour du Carlit GR®P circles the 2,921-metre-high Carlit over three days. The route passes through high-altitude mountain passes and plateaus, as well as pastoral hamlets and traditional huts.

Activities

Above Lac du Passet and the gorges of the Carol, Tyrovol is located on the border with Andorra and Spain. The course consists of 12 consecutive zip lines, with a total flight distance of almost 2,000 metres. Tyrovol is accessible from a height of 1.10 metres and does not require any prior sporting experience.

The Le Pied dans le Vide platform in Porté-Puymorens is suspended on a mountainside and offers a 360-degree panorama of the snow-covered peaks of the Trio de la Haute-Cerdagne.

At Lac du Passet, activities include horse riding, Free’zbee golf, an aerial adventure course, easy hikes and fishing.
