To reach the Via-Ferrata du Malzieu, follow the RD 47 from Le Malzieu for 700 m in the direction of Saint-Léger-du-Malzieu, then take the first road on the left towards Le Ranc. The Via-Ferrata du Malzieu is freely accessible all year round.
