Activities

At La ferme du Mazel, visitors can tour the farm, get to know the animals and their young, and watch the milking. The museum there also traces the history of the farm from 1862 through agricultural equipment – from animal traction to the beginnings of mechanisation.

Nature

“Le tour du Rouchat” is a very easy hiking trail in Antrenas. The route leads to the large Rouchats, distinctive rocks in the area. From the highest point, panoramic views open up over the Marvejols basin, the Truc du Midi, the Truc de Saint-Bonnet and, in the distance, the Causses.

From the surroundings of the village of Antrenas, the view stretches far across the Marvejols valley to the privately owned Château Crespin. The agriculturally oriented hamlet of Hammeau de Fabrèges lies at an altitude of 840 m on the mountainside.

Cycling

“Les trois villages – VTT n°5” is a 23.1 km mountain-bike loop of medium difficulty. It takes 2 hours and reaches a maximum altitude of 1,240 m. The starting point is at the car park in front of Antrenas church.

Culture and history

Antrenas was originally a seigneurie owned by the Barons of Peyre until 1435. According to local legend, the legendary dog Géant hunted wolves and protected herds in 1417.

The car park for “Le tour du Rouchat” is opposite the former school in Fabrèges.
