The Église Saint-Sauveur-de-Chirac combines Romanesque and Gothic architecture. As a historic monument, it is protected; it was listed by decree dated 10 April 1931. At the same time, Chirac lies at the transition between Aubrac, the Causses and the Margeride.

Culture
Chirac developed from 1062 onwards around the Saint Sauveur de Chirac monastery; in the 12th century, the Saint-Sauveur-de-Chirac church was a priory of the Saint-Sauveur de Chirac monastery.
The Chapelle Saint-Jean is a medieval building that was remodelled in the 17th century. Mullioned windows from the 16th century have been preserved at the Place d’Entraygues. The Chapelle du Sacré-Coeur contains paintings created by Nicolaï Greschny during his stay in Chirac.
The tour of historic Chirac includes the Tour d’Entraygues and the La Chazelle dolmen. The Centre historique de Chirac can be visited independently and without a guide at any time.
La Draille des Troupeaux follows a historic transhumance route towards Aubrac that was used by herds until the middle of the 20th century. The Pont de Colagne is a stone bridge probably dating from the 14th century and featuring five arches.
Geographical location
The proximity of the A75 motorway makes Chirac easy to reach. Chirac is also located near the Toulouse–Lyon transport corridor.
Nature
Le sentier du Croizier offers wide-ranging views from distant Mont-Lozère to the nearby Trucs de la Fare, de Saint-Bonnet, de Grèzes and du Midiplus. Le sentier des Chades crosses the limestone plateau of Lachamp.
La Vallée de la Biourière initially follows the Sentier des Chades and provides an opportunity to discover the limestone plateau of Lachamp. The La Vallée de la Biourière route passes along the Biourière, a stream known among trout anglers.
The Sentier du Croizier runs past La Croix des Anglais, three kilometres north of Chirac.
Hiking
La Draille des Troupeaux is a moderately difficult route measuring 10.1 kilometres, with a duration of three hours.
Cap au Truc de Saint Bonnet – Trail no. 2 initially climbs uphill to the Truc de Saint Bonnet and then continues for seven kilometres over alternating flat and downhill sections.
The Les Balcons de Chirac hike begins in Chirac at the Place d’Entraygues in Bourgs-sur-Colagne. The route follows the Colagne, through coniferous forests and across a footbridge through a wetland.
Cycling
Le tour du truc de Saint Bonnet – VTT no. 8 uses wide paths and is not very technical.
