History and Culture
The Chapelle Saint-Nazaire is a fully preserved pre-Romanesque church in the Visigothic tradition; the roof structure is the only exception. Since 9 July 1981, it has been classified as a historic monument by decree. The Église Saint-Laurent in Roujan is also a protected historic church; it was listed by decree dated 14 April 1954. The building incorporates construction phases from the last quarter of the 13th century, as well as from the 14th, 18th and 19th centuries.
The archway of the former Saint Laurent entrance in Roujan has also been preserved. An imposing 14th-century tower stands in the historic centre.
Château-Abbaye de Cassan
The Château-Abbaye de Cassan houses a 12th-century Romanesque church, which is a remnant of the former priory. You can stroll through the garden of the Château-Abbaye de Cassan and enjoy an impressive view of the building. The Château-Abbaye de Cassan welcomes organised groups for guided tours throughout the year by prior reservation.
Landscape and Cycling
The Boucle cyclo n°3 cycling loop passes through Roujan and the other listed villages.
