Culture and History
The Église Saint Christophe was built in the 12th century within the fortified settlement of Faugères. In 1562, during the religious conflicts, it became a Protestant place of worship.
The three grain mills of Faugères date back to the 16th century. The restored ruins of the 5th-century Saint Etienne de Frontignan chapel are also part of the village’s historical heritage. They are located in a woodland clearing and have been preserved for the future.

Wine and Traditions
Fine Faugères is a wine-brandy tradition made from the terroir of Faugères and produced for almost two centuries. It is made in a Charentais still, a so-called "à repasse" still, through double distillation.
