Culture and History

The parish church of Saint-Geniès is located in the village of Campagnan. In the historic centre, the Campagnan village fountain is designated as a heritage element worthy of protection. The Campagnan village fountain is also considered an emblematic and unifying element.

At the beginning of the 12th century, Campagnan was dependent on Gellone Abbey. At that time, the enclosed settlement comprised nine agricultural estates and ten houses.

Transport

Campagnan railway station is connected with the creation of the Montpellier–Rodez railway line in 1867. The Campagnan–Ancienne Gare bus stop is served by the Saint-Jean-de-Védas–Adissan routes.

Events

On 24 July 2025, a Place-au-Terroir evening was held in Campagnan on the forecourt of the multi-purpose hall. The Place-au-Terroir evenings in Campagnan in July 2025 featured gourmet markets, guided tours, pottery workshops and musical performances.
