Culture and History
The remains of the Visigothic Sainte-Madeleine Chapel have been preserved in Beaufort. The remarkable Église Saint-Martin de Beaufort is a Romanesque church. The present-day church in Beaufort features Romanizing architecture, a single-nave layout with two bays, and a semicircular apse. It is open only during services.
The Saint-Côme Chapel served as a place of worship and rest for pilgrims. The Saint-Côme site is located at the crossroads of several hiking trails and the Chemin des Romieux. A street plaque marks the location of Beaufort's former railway station. In addition, a well-preserved, round-arched vaulted railway bridge, measuring 7 metres and featuring iron railings on both sides, crosses the Ruisseau de Beaufort.
Landscape and Trails
The Chemin de St Côme offers unobstructed views over the Minervois plain, Montagne d’Alaric and the Pyrenees. Along the 7.5 km-long Chemin de St Côme, visitors can discover Beaufort's terroir, the pre-Romanesque Saint-Côme Chapel and the village's old centre.

L’Ort de Soulié offers white, rosé and red wines from the AOP Minervois as well as the IGP Hérault and Pays d’Oc. By prior reservation, L’Ort de Soulié offers cellar tours for groups.
