The Château de Laurens is now the town hall. The rectangular building from the 12th century was constructed by the lords of Fouzilhon, has two floors and an inner courtyard. The bell tower next to the château initially served as the seigneurial watchtower and later as the community belfry.

The Église Saint Laurent opened for worship in 1786. The former Église Saint Laurent was converted into a “Maison du peuple” (conference hall) from 1923 onwards. The Grange monastique de Sauvanès is located 3 km northeast of Laurens and was an agricultural outbuilding of Sylvanès Abbey in Aveyron.

The marble deposit in Laurens was discovered by Pierre Anglade in 1885; the stone found there was initially intended for bridges, building foundations and funerary monuments.

Wine

Château de Grézan was a former hospital commandery founded in the 12th century and transformed into a fantasy fortress in the 19th century. Château de Grézan is listed as a historic monument and surrounded by fortified walls with battlements.

The park of Château de Grézan covers 3 hectares and includes a bamboo grove as well as century-old palm trees. Visitors can tour the wine cellars and take part in tastings in the tasting cellar all year round. The tasting cellar presents wines from the AOC Faugères and Vins de Pays d’Oc.

Hiking

The “Laurens Sauvanès” hike is 9 km long, easy, suitable for walking and takes around three hours. It invites you to discover traces in Laurens of the development shaped by winegrowing and the railway era. The Béziers–Graissessac railway line was crucial to the development of Laurens from 1857 onwards.
