The Au fil du Gardon circular route (Petit Parcours) is easy, 2.3 kilometres long and takes around one hour; it has yellow markings and signposts. Along the banks of the Gardon at the foot of the Château de Montfrin, it then leads into the historic streets of the town centre. The start and finish are at the Parking du Barri in Montfrin.

Nature
At the Gardon in Montfrin, swimming, walks, picnics, canoe races and fishing are mentioned as leisure activities. The long-distance hiking trail GR42 begins near the bridge of Montfrin. Along the banks of the Gardon, tree trunks cut into pencil-like shapes are presented as a sign of the presence of numerous beavers in this river.
The La Baume site features a troglodytic Apié with 75 niches; such Apiés are bee walls.
Culture
The historic town walls of Montfrin were 1,100 metres long, 9 metres high and 1 metre wide; they had four gates and projecting watchtowers. The Renaissance façade of the Maison Renaissance dite hôtel de Calvières dates from the 16th century. In its entirety, the Maison has been protected as a historic monument by a decree dated 18 September 2003.
The Chapelle des Pénitents noirs was restored and has housed the Montfrin municipal library since 1998. The Notre-Dame de Malpas church was built by the Templars in 1180; its bell tower dates from 1372. It houses a painting by Xavier Sigalon. In the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Pitié, the Black Penitents held their first service in 1611.
The Commanderie Saint-Jean de Montfrin was built by the Templars in 1169. Until 1312, it was a Templar commandery; afterwards, it became a hospital of the Order of Saint John. The former Templar commandery, including the courtyards and the grounds of the former cemetery, but excluding the community hall built on them, has been protected as a historic monument by a decree dated 1 August 2003. The privately owned Château de Montfrin is protected as a historic monument and was built around an ancient Roman tower and the Templars' keep.
The Arènes de Montfrin can accommodate 1,200 spectators.
Local
The Château de Montfrin produces wines in three colours and under five AOC designations, including wines made from grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache and Viognier. The Montfrin weekly market takes place every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cours Jean-Jaurès; regional producers offer numerous local products there.
