The entire municipality of Estézargues is classified as Côtes du Rhône or Côtes du Rhône Villages. Estézargues is also part of the geographical area of the AOC “Huile d’Olive de Nîmes”.

Wine and regional produce
The Cave des Vignerons d'Estézargues offers wines from the AOC Côtes du Rhône, the AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Signargues and the IGP Coteaux du Pont du Gard. For more than 30 years, it has produced wine without using additives; 80 % of its plots are farmed organically. Groups can visit the cellars by prior reservation.
The Domaine de Pierredon is a wine- and olive-growing estate that has been in existence for several generations. Individual and group tours without a fixed guide are available there at any time. Estézargues’ weekly market includes, among others, the traditional butcher and charcuterie shop Deurrieu Frères, La Chèvrerie du Bois, and fruit and vegetable vendors from Marie-Josée Fauque.
History and village character
The parish church of Estézargues dates from the 12th century and was fortified in the 14th century. The row of houses in Estézargues follows former fortifications that were built in the 14th century to protect the village.
Routes
The “Découverte du village et du vignoble d'Estézargues” route passes the façade of the village’s 19th-century Neo-Romanesque church. It is a short, easy circular walk for discovering the village and its vineyards, and includes a viewpoint overlooking the village and its vineyards.
The section of the Chemin Urbain V between Blauzac and Estézargues is a 43.9 km, two-day hiking route. It follows the historic traces of Pope Urban V and is marked with the red-and-white signs used for long-distance hiking trails.
