Hiking trails through Gaujac and its surroundings offer opportunities for walking. On the L’Oppidum Saint-Vincent route, the Chapelle Saint-Saturnin can be reached via an out-and-back trail from Sagriès.
Culture and History
The Oppidum Saint Vincent de Gaujac conveys more than 2,000 years of history, from the Gallic Samnagenses to the Romans. Remains of defensive walls, thermal baths and temples have been preserved there.
The Château de Gaujac was built during the 17th century and occupies an important position within a quadrilateral formed by former fortifications. The Château de Gaujac was listed by decree of 1 December 1980.
The Coopérative vinicole de Gaujac was built in 1928.
Wine and Market
The Château de Marjolet wine-growing estate covers 80 hectares in the municipalities of Gaujac and Laudun. At the Château de Marjolet, wines from the Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun, Côtes du Rhône and Vins de Pays categories can be tasted. On request, the Château de Marjolet offers individual and group tours.
The Marché de Gaujac takes place every Thursday in the town centre. The market offers fresh seasonal produce.
