Under the painter Albert André, who became curator in 1917, the Musée Albert-André developed into one of the first provincial museums of contemporary art; it soon served as a model for Grenoble and Saint-Tropez. La Pyramide provides a different cultural focus: the modern events hall seats 500 spectators in a seated arrangement or up to 750 people in a seated-standing configuration. At the same time, it is a multidisciplinary venue for artistic creation and production.
The Musée Léon-Alègre is housed in a Moorish residence built in the 19th century and presents an extensive collection on local archaeology. It also displays remnants of a mosaic that were accidentally discovered in 1967 during construction work at the Marcoule nuclear power plant, at the ancient archaeological site of Cadenet.
