Culture and History
The Maison Girard at the corner of Rue Pitot and Passage de Laudun is one of the oldest houses in Aramon and dates from 1498. Rue Pitot crosses the historic centre of Aramon from east to west.
Les Halles were rebuilt from dressed stone in 1742. The Porte de Montfrin dates from 1774; it was previously fortified.
The Maison natale d’Henri Pitot is located at number 7. Henri Pitot was born there in 1695. The Foire de la St-Martin was founded in 1703 and still takes place today.
The Château d’Aramon was partially listed as a Monument historique on 23 November 1995. The structure includes a 12-metre-high wall that was part of the fortifications.
The historic centre of Aramon also includes the Église Saint-Pancrace, whose building fabric dates from the 12th to the 17th century. The Maison des Cardinaux in Aramon is said to have served as a refuge for the Bishop of Lodève, Plantavit de la Pause, in 1633.
There is now a promenade on the Quai in Aramon.

Paths and Landscapes
Les Castillones is a 10.5-kilometre circular hike starting in Aramon.
The Sentier des Garrigues passes through the garrigue on the heights of Aramon and offers numerous views of the Rhône and the surrounding area.
For the Sentier des Garrigues, the Parking des Quais car park next to the tourist office is recommended as a parking area.
