Culture and History
The Église Saint-Pierre-des-Champs was built in the 12th century. It houses a bell dating from 1307 and reflects the region’s Romanesque architecture.
The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Consolation was built around 1885 below the Château de Saint-Pierre-des-Champs. In 1984, it was restored with the help of volunteers. The chapel continues to welcome worshippers and visitors.
The Château de Saint-Pierre-des-Champs was built in 1160 by the monks of Lagrasse. Initially, it served to protect the inhabitants’ lands from the lords of Termes. During the Crusades, the château became a strategic centre.
