Orgeval: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Église Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul features Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements. The bell tower was classified as a historic monument by decree of 12 July 1886, while the rest of the church was listed by decree of 18 June 1962. Today, the church houses 14 stained-glass windows as well as 15 paintings and statues.

Culture

The Chapelle Saint-Jean also contains several layers of history. It possibly dates back to the 13th century, was sold during the French Revolution and bought back in 1835 so that it could once again be used for worship.

In summer 2026, the Chapelle Saint-Jean will be open to visitors from 3 to 7 p.m. on the following days: 1, 2, 8, 9 and 23 May; on 24 May from 5 to 7 p.m.; 7 and 21 June; 5, 12, 14, 19 and 26 July; and 2, 9, 15, 16 and 30 August. During the European Heritage Days, it will be open on 19 and 20 September from 2 to 6 p.m.

Nature

Today, only a few ruins remain of the Notre-Dame d’Abbecourt Abbey. The abbey was founded and consecrated in the 12th century.

A 14.8-kilometre hiking route to Notre-Dame d’Abbecourt Abbey and the covered fountains begins at the car park on Rue de l’Abbaye in Orgeval. It includes a short section of the GR1 and returns to the starting point via the Étang d’Abbecourt dam.

In Parc de la Brunetterie, the Clairière des Eaux is a restored wetland whose ecological enhancement is intended to benefit biodiversity.
