Le Chesnay is home to a range of specific cultural, leisure and natural attractions.
Nature
The Arboretum de Versailles-Chèvreloup covers 2,500 tree species and 205 hectares, with significant living plant collections. 200 hectares of it are open to the public.

Culture and history
The Church of Saint-Germain has a stained-glass window depicting Saint Napoleon. It also houses the paintings “The Apparition of Christ to Saint Teresa” and “Saint Augustine”.
The first mairie school was built in 1834 at 3 place Dutartre in Le Chesnay. It later housed the Berton Café-Tabac-Épicerie until 1975.
The present-day Château du Grand Chesnay replaced an older château, which was demolished for Jean Menjaud and replaced with the current building. After the French Revolution, the Caruel de Saint-Martin family expanded the château. It hosted figures such as the painter Théodore Géricault.
La Grande Scène du Chesnay hosts performances from the current season as well as community events. The heritage trails invite visitors to discover and enhance places, buildings and landscapes that bear witness to the history and identity of the area.
Leisure
Parc Nouvelle-France is an enclosed area with play equipment for children under six. There are cycle paths and benches along Avenue Dutartre.
Piscine du Chesnay-Rocquencourt has two swimming pools, including a 50-metre pool, as well as a paddling pool for small children, a slide and a sunny terrace with sun loungers.
