Culture and History
The Église Saint-Pierre et Saint-Eutrope may date back to the 12th century; its present-day architecture mainly dates from the 15th century. The western portal dates from the late 15th century and reuses two Romanesque columns from the 12th century.
The Église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Eutrope houses the stained-glass window “verrière du chevet comportant 3 lancettes”. It was created in 1883 and has been listed as a protected object since 9 April 1984. The church cannot be visited during service times.
The Château de Dommerville was commissioned by the Marquis de Hallot in 1777. It is classified as a historic monument and is used for various types of receptions.
The Église Saint Germain de Dommerville is a Romanesque church that is documented in writing as early as 1250. It houses three stained-glass windows dating from 1905 and bearing the signature of the glass painter Henri Carot.
The Médiathèque intercommunale Lucien Chaumette is a cultural facility covering more than 400 square metres, with leisure, reading and work areas for all age groups. It offers almost 11,000 documents, including books, magazines, DVDs and CDs. The ground-floor Atelier provides space for meetings, performances, conferences, exhibitions and workshops. The sculpture “tigre-moustique” by Christophe Dumont, made from recycled materials, stands in the forecourt.
In Angerville, the Cavalcade is a parade held every two years, featuring floats decorated with crepe-paper flowers.
Market and Events
Angerville’s weekly market takes place every Tuesday morning in the town centre. Food is sold there by butchers, cheese sellers and greengrocers.
Activities
The Angerville pump track is freely accessible and intended for users aged three and over. It has three marked tracks for beginners, intermediate users and experienced riders.
The Piscine intercommunale d’Angerville has two pools, one of which is covered, allowing it to be used year-round.
Every year, the Cyclo Club Angerville organises the open-to-all cycling tour “rallye plaine et vent”. The club also offers road cycling trips, mainly at weekends and on public holidays, starting from the club premises.
