Bucey-lès-Gy is a Cité de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The historic townscape includes the Église Saint-Martin, which was built in the 14th century and extended in the 16th century under the influence of Flamboyant Gothic. The church has a carved oak pulpit and a polychrome wooden crucifix dating from the 18th century. The Comtois bell tower, known as “à l’impériale” and featuring an imperial cap, was rebuilt in 1767 and restored in 1976.
The Bucey-lès-Gy presbytery was built between 1860 and 1864 according to plans by the architect Christophe Colard. Since 4 June 2007, it has been fully listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments; this also includes the courtyard, garden, enclosures and gates. The Mairie-Lavoir of Bucey-lès-Gy is also listed in the inventory of historic monuments.

Nature
The Sentier des Pelouses takes hikers through the dry grasslands, forests and pastures of the Monts de Gy, past architectural heritage and to viewpoints. The trail begins in Roche; the starting point is signposted from departmental road 474. The hike takes around four hours and is not particularly difficult.
The Morthe rises in Bucey-lès-Gy in the hamlet of Roche. A canal fed by the Morthe runs through the village and supplied seven mills along its course. The Fresse site in Bucey-lès-Gy belongs to the ecological group “Pelouses sèches des Monts de Gy”. There, 27.9224 hectares of dry grassland are protected and managed. The Vallon de Fontenelay regional nature reserve includes Bucey-lès-Gy and Montboillon.
Local Character
The winegrowers’ houses of Bucey-lès-Gy have vaulted cellars and “trajes” leading to the terraced vineyards. Wine is still grown in Bucey-lès-Gy, continuing the village’s winemaking tradition. The banks of the Morthe are recommended as places for recreation, picnics and family walks.
