Pruno is situated on a rocky promontory. From here, there are sweeping views across the Fium'Alto Valley all the way to the sea. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Pruno can base their accommodation choice on the village.

Culture

The Église de l’Assomption stands in the village and probably dates back to the early 17th century. Its floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross; at the same time, the church is a Baroque cultural heritage site with a monumental façade. The Sainte-Marie Chapel dates from the 11th or 12th century and is classified as a historic monument. In Pruno, visitors can also discover oil mills, wine presses and grain threshing floors. The old, tall houses characteristic of the region formerly served as lookout posts.

Hiking

The Pruno–Monte di Tagliu route begins above the Santa Maria Cannavaghja Chapel and climbs steadily through chestnut trees to the Col de Pero. The summit of Monte di Tagliu offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean, the Italian islands and the eastern plain of Corsica. The “Santa Maria Canovaria” hiking trail passes through Campo Piano, Pruno and Santa Maria Canovaria; the “Zanna Punente” hiking trail leads, among other places, through Santa Maria Canovaria, Pruno and Campo Piano.

The Romanesque Santa Maria di Canovaria Chapel is about 2 km from Pruno and contains a 10th-century fresco. While hiking around Pruno, visitors can discover grain threshing floors.
