Culture

The Warmeriville war memorial, created by the sculptor Eugène Bourgouin, was inaugurated on 2 August 1925. It is flanked by two Russian artillery guns: 8-inch guns (203 mm) captured by the German army in 1918 and given to the municipality as war trophies.

The German military cemetery of Warmeriville was established in the 1920s and contains 3,151 soldiers, including 493 in an ossuary. It contains the remains of 414 soldiers who died on 20 May 1917 in the explosion of a tunnel at Mont Cornillet and were recovered and transferred there in 1975.
