The Abbey of Saint-Thierry was founded around the year 500 by Thierry, a disciple of Saint Remi. In 1968, the Benedictine nuns of Vanves revived monastic life in Saint-Thierry.

Culture
In the Church of Saint-Thierry, a reliquary casket containing the relics of Saint Thierry is displayed in the vestibule; it is protected as a movable monument. The reliquary casket was probably made in Reims between 1827 and 1890.
