Wine
The Champagne Mathieu-Nicolas SCEV Moussé winery covers 4.8 hectares spread across five villages. The family behind Champagne Mathieu-Nicolas has been growing vines in the Marne Valley since the first generation of winegrowers, born in 1629.
Currently, Champagne Mathieu-Nicolas occasionally welcomes visitors to the winery by reservation and offers cellar tours. Champagne Poissinet offers a winery visit followed by a tasting.
Culture and History
As part of the Vign’Art 2026 festival, Cuchery is home to the massive wooden artwork “En Face” by Antonin Martineau. The installation is part of a walk featuring artistic discovery.
The listed Église Saint-Maurice dates from the 12th and 15th centuries and combines Romanesque and Gothic stylistic elements. Cuchery was almost completely destroyed by a fire in 1776. During the First World War from 1914 to 1918, the Église Saint-Maurice was partially destroyed. The Marian altar of the Église Saint-Maurice was used by resistance fighters during the War of 1870.
The church of Cuchery was rebuilt true to the original in accordance with the law of 17 April 1919, due to its status as a historic monument, under the direction of architects Bernard Haubold, Adolphe Prost and Armand Guéritte.
Landscape
The Croix du Ballai is a viewpoint at an altitude of 217 metres. The nearby hamlet of Orcourt, 800 metres from Cuchery, is known for its planting and is home to nearly 200 varieties of roses.

You can walk along hiking trails in Cuchery. In the Parc naturel régional de la Montagne de Reims, there are hiking, cycling and mountain biking trails for exploring the park. There are picnic areas in Cuchery.
