Culture and History
The Saint-Nicolas Church in Chenay is distinguished by the slender spire of its bell tower and a western façade with Italian influences. In the 12th century, it replaced a former chapel dating from the 7th century. The Saint-Nicolas Church suffered severe damage during the bombings of the First World War.
The Croix de la Résistance was inaugurated in 1946 in memory of the Chenay resistance fighters and the fighters of 1939 to 1945. Chenay’s Monument aux Morts was created in 1930 by the Reims sculptor Edouard Sediez.
