Les quatre saules PR N°81 is an 8 km circular trail that starts and finishes in the village. The route is classified as easy for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding; on foot it takes 2 hours, by mountain bike 1 hour and on horseback also 1 hour. The trail initially follows the Suize and passes an old mill, a washhouse and a fountain. It then leads through wooded areas where traces of deer, roe deer or foxes may be found.

Culture

The Église Saint-Rémy de Villiers-sur-Suize houses two paintings by the artist Henri Gerzaguet, who came from the village. The church has a double transept on one side; its choir was built in the 15th century.

Between Leffonds and Villiers-sur-Suize lies the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-la-Bonne-Garde, built in 1921. It is crowned by a majestic metal statue of the Virgin Mary from Val d'Osne. The statue weighs 500 kg and is 2.20 m high.

The Lavoir de Villiers-sur-Suize was built on the banks of the Suize below the village hall. It opens onto the square with three arches; a supporting pillar stands in the middle of the wash basin. The centre of Villiers-sur-Suize is laid out around the washhouse on the square.

The type II ZNIEFF “Coteaux et vallée de la Suize entre Chaumont et Villiers-sur-Suize” extends between the municipalities of Chaumont and Villiers-sur-Suize in the Haute-Marne département over 1,056.79 hectares. It includes floodplain habitats, mainly meadows, as well as riparian woodland, marshes, sedge beds and tall-herb communities in some places. It also includes forests, dry grasslands, meadows and a few fields on the slopes rising above the valley floor.
