Tournavaux: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Trans-Semoysienne tourist route runs through Tournavaux from Monthermé to Les Hautes-Rivières. Along this route, 18 panels provide information about the municipalities and their cultural and natural heritage. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Tournavaux can include this as a separate part of their trip planning.

Trails

The Trans-Semoysienne tourist route is designated as an easy, 18.8-kilometre cycle route of the Voie verte type, taking two hours. It partly follows a former railway line and is three metres wide.

The La plaine de Tournavaux walking trail is 4 kilometres long, takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, and is classified as easy. It is signposted with white-and-red and yellow markings.

Nature

The Roche aux Corpias, also known as Roche aux corbeaux, towers over the Phade Gorge, where the Semoy rushes turbulently between quartzite blocks. Climbing is possible at the Roche aux Corpias; the site has been developed for visitors. The Roche aux Corpias also offers a viewpoint over the Semoy Valley.

Between Tournavaux and Haulmé, the Semoy opens out into a large floodplain. La plaine de Tournavaux is the largest plain in the Semoy Valley.

Culture

The Totem de la Semoy consists of seven metal totems. It is a work by the artist Jean MOMRETTE and the landscape designer Marc SOUCAT.

River

At the landing stage by the bridge in Tournavaux, getting out is required because of a weir located 300 metres downstream.
