The Étang du Puits near Cerdon is an interdepartmental sensitive natural area that combines a recreational function with an ecotourism function. Culture and History
Cerdon is one of the 30 characterful villages in Loiret recommended for visits. The Sainte-Marguerite Church dates from the late 12th century and was listed as a historic monument in 1941. Its surviving tower remains, made of brick and stone, are unique in Sologne.
The Sainte-Marguerite Church houses the painting “La Nativité de la Vierge”, a monumental work by the Neapolitan Baroque painter Luca Giordano. The painting was listed as a historic monument in 1904.
